What will you learn?

Mental health is something all students need support with, but can be particularly difficult for those experiencing 'difference'. The effect of race, culture, ethnicity, gender, sexuality and disability on mental health is explored in this course, including the impact on child development. Dr Hall explains the challenges schools face, as well as offering strategies to overcome them in order to better support the mental health of all students.

Dr Delroy Hall is a trained psychodynamic psychotherapist and is a lifelong learner. He is a senior counsellor and wellbeing practitioner at Sheffield Hallam University, UK. Primarily, Dr Hall is committed to dealing with human pain while developing trust, so people can recover and thrive. 

He is an active leader in his community. He is committed to teaching, training and human development and has given lectures at Harvard University and Boston College Massachusetts, USA, and Durham University, UK. He teaches at Leeds Beckett University, UK and was appointed as the Club Chaplain for Sheffield United Football Club in September 2017.
